Our activities were started by a group of enthusiastic volunteers in 1989
We became registered as a charity in Spain in 1996Some of the dogs and cats in our care take a while to find a forever home.
Some have ongoing medical conditions, some need socialising, some are old or have injuries.
We rely heavily on the generosity of people who are prepared to offer a temporary home to one (or more) of the animals in our care.
We need more people willing to open up their homes to dogs and cats looking for a fresh start in life.
When animals are taken into a foster home it must be remembered that this could be for a few days, a few weeks or even months. When a dog or cat has been in a foster home for whatever reason it is unfair to then return that dog or cat to the shelter to have to, once again, adjust to the life there.
When you foster a dog or cat you’ll be freeing up space in our shelter so that we can rescue more animals in desperate need.
Animal fostering is an important role. It plays a vital part in the rehabilitation of animals and helps improve their chances of finding a new home.
We will help with the cost of food and medication in appropriate cases. We will provide whatever other practical support may be required.
And we are at the end of the phone if there are any difficulties.
